Welcome to St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School

Mrs. A. Brogden

On behalf of all the staff and children, I would like to extend a warm welcome to both new and existing families. It is a privilege to be the Head Teacher at such a special school.

St. Mary’s Catholic Primary is a stimulating, supportive and friendly school located in Lea town. As a Catholic school, Christ is at the centre of all we do. We are a small school which creates our distinctive family atmosphere. Every child is part of our family and highly valued as a unique individual.

  • We are driven by our Mission Statement;
  • Live our lives as Jesus taught us
  • Work hard together to achieve our best
  • Respect each other and the world around us
  • Have fun and enjoy learning!

We aim to provide an environment where children, staff, families and Governors work closely together. We work hard to ensure our school is a safe, secure and exciting place to learn and grow, where everyone is supported and encouraged to excel and be the very best they can be. We are mindful that once our children leave this school they will help to shape the future and so they will need to be resilient, imaginative, considerate and confident. We look forward to making your child's time here at St. Mary’s a truly happy and memorable experience. If you would like more information please feel free to call or come and visit our school.

  • My three girls love coming to school all the teachers TAs and receptionist are very approachable and always willing to help. My middle daughter sophie has grown in confidence and for the first time spoke in assemble which I was very proud off thanks to the teachers and teaching assistants at st marys.

  • St. Mary’s is a fantastic little school that nurtures children through their learning journey at the most important stage in their childhood. Our son loves to go to school, his confidence has grown because of the love and care that he receives from all of the teacher team. We couldn’t be happier that Frankie is at St. Mary’s.
